Richard Alan Jensen
Feb. 29, 1944 – July 19, 2017

Richard Alan “Rick” Jensen, 73, a resident of Perdido Beach, died July 19, 2017.

Mr. Jensen retired from Alcatel Lucent, where he worked for more than 33 years, and served with the U.S. Army National Guard for 27 years.

He served on the board of directors for the Perdido Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

Rick was a member of Swift Presbyterian Church and attended the adult Sunday school class.

He was an avid fisherman and loved music.

The family includes his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Jensen of Perdido Beach; a daughter; Jennifer Jensen (Jeff) Cain of Elberta; sons; Rick Jensen and Jeff (Tracie) Jensen of Elberta; a brother; Van (Lucille) Jensen of Clearwater, Florida; and seven grandchildren: Drew (Amber), Kathryn (Jake), Jordan, Grant, Madi, Bailey and Emma Grace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Erma Jensen; and a brother, Jimbo Jensen.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Swift Church. The family received friends an hour prior to funeral. Burial was in the church cemetery.
