Leland Wayne ‘Jack’ Walkup
May 4, 1928 – April 7, 2016

Leland Wayne “Jack” Walkup, 87, a resident of Foley, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Foley.

He was born May 4, 1928, in Golden City, Missouri.

He was the sixth and youngest child of George Eugene and Jessie May Buchanan Walkup. He was given the nickname of “Jack” while quite young because he would clinch his hands in a fist and it reminded family members of boxer Jack Dempsey.
