God is good all the time.
■ Intercessory prayer group meets each Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the chapel.
“Prayer is not designed to change God; it is designed to change us. Prayer is not calling God in to bless our activities. Rather, prayer takes us into God’s presence, shows us His will, and prepares us to obey Him.
— From Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby
■ Our food pantry is open to serve the community each Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

►Angel tree mission program | |
Swift Church will participate in the Ecumenical Ministries angel tree Christmas sharing program this year to help children have a meaningful Christmas.
This involves taking an angel and buying gifts for the children. They ask that each participant spend approximately $75 on each child’s gifts. Each angel will have a list of what each child wants, with details such as size, etc., and they will provide a bag to hold the gifts.
The angels will be given to us by Nov. 22. We need to bring the gifts to them by Dec. 11 and they will distribute them to the families. If you would like to participate, please let the church office or Chuck Carneal know by Friday, Nov. 1, so we can let them know how many angels we want.
Thanks for your consideration.
— Chuck Carneal, mission elder

Dear Swift family,
I would like to thank Randy and Susan for the wonderful communion service they did for Elinor and me at my home [Oct. 6]. And thank you to all those members that signed the nicely decorated board with the prayers and good wishes. I really miss my wonderful church and all the members every week. I hope to be able to return soon. May God bless everyone. My prayers are with you all.
