Psalm 146 • Revelation 21:1–6
■ Ringing the bells for the saints — We celebrate the communion of saints as we remember the dead, both of our congregation and the Church universal. For this reason, the names of the persons who have died during the past year are solemnly read.
■ The Lord’s Supper will be served. All are invited to the table.
■ This is “bring a friend” Sunday. Welcome to everyone joining us for worship, study and fellowship today.
■ Moment for young worshipers is also for the young-at-heart.

Cursillo songs and cookies
Sunday, Nov. 3 • 4:15 p.m.
Come join in singing Cursillo songs and enjoy some cookies this Sunday afternoon. We will meet in the chapel and enjoy singing our favorites, accompanied by guitar music.

Join us for a hymn sing Sunday, Nov. 10, during our morning worship hour.
Write the names of your favorite hymns and place them in the box in the fellowship hall or email the church office (swiftpc@gulftel.com) by Wednesday, Nov. 6, and we will sing as many as possible.

■ Intercessory prayer group meets each Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the chapel.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

■ Our food pantry is open to serve the community each Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
■ Evening Bible study — Tuesday, Nov. 5. Social time at 5:30 p.m., Bible study at 6. Tending the Wild Garden, Chapter 5.
■ Daytime Bible study — Wednesday, Nov. 6. Social time at 11:30 a.m. Bible study at noon. Tending the Wild Garden, Chapter 4.
►Poinsettias to decorate the chancel | |
Poinsettia orders are being taken in remembrance of or to honor your loved ones. The colorful potted plants will be displayed in the sanctuary through Christmas Eve and may be taken home after the service. Please complete the order form on our website or use the printed form available in the fellowship hall by Sunday, Nov. 24, and place it in the offering plate or return to the church office, along with your cash or check payable to Swift Presbyterian Church. Make a note on your check “for poinsettia.” The suggested charge is $9 per plant.

The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.
This week, we served 83 families, including 307 people.
If you are interested in helping or know of someone who might be interested, please consider getting involved or at least share the opportunity to volunteer with others.

The Swift Church Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for church officers to serve in the class of 2027.
The positions open are fellowship deacons and congregational-care deacons. Each of these is a three-year commitment.
Please prayerfully consider if God may be calling you to serve in any of these positions. If you have questions about any of the positions, or if you are willing to serve, please contact Jan Taylor at 251-978-6418 by Sunday, Nov. 3.

Join Snacks with Susan and Daryl on Sunday mornings for a new series by Max Lucado, “You’ll Get Through This (Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times).”
