Peng Garden
1404 S. McKenzie St., Foley

Please confirm with Mary McNair by noon that day so tables can be arranged. Call or text her at 251-295-5267 or email her at marymcnairrealtor@gmail.com.

WE NEED SUGGESTIONS!

We need a list of restaurants where folks would like to go in future months so we can mix it up a little. A bit of a road trip is OK as long as it’s worth it. Also keep in mind it needs to be someplace with plenty of group seating space and reasonably priced so folks can afford to come. Please text or email Mary with your requests and suggestions.

Mission and service
►Food pantry

The food pantry is open on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.

This week, we served 71 families, including 271 people.

If you are interested in helping or know of someone who might be interested, please consider getting involved or at least share the opportunity to volunteer with others.

If you have questions or want to volunteer, please contact Jan Taylor (251‑978‑6418).

Faith development
►‘Snacks with Susan and Daryl’ discussion class

Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 4

Have you ever wondered what heaven might be like?

Curious about what the Bible says about it? Join Snacks with Susan and Daryl this week. We have started a new series, “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn, that looks at what Christians may see in the future.

We meet in the annex room 4, Sundays at 9 a.m. Join us.

Topics:

      What Is Heaven?
      New Heaven and New Earth
      Living with God
      Living in Heaven
      Peace for Today
      Hope for the Future

►Adult Bible study class, led by Bill and Catherine

Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 2

Join us as we study the book of Hebrews.

This masterful document was written to the Jews who were struggling with accepting Jesus as the Messiah. The message of Hebrews is that Christianity surpasses Judaism because it has a better covenant and a more sufficient sacrifice for sins. We are taking the book verse by verse, discovering how the Old Testament writings pointed toward the New Covenant.

If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself.

Visitors and new class members are always welcome! We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries. We look forward to seeing you.
