Dates to remember . . .

■ Intercessory prayer group meets each Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the chapel.

“God looks for those whose hearts are prepared to be intercessors before him. Intercessors have hearts in tune with God’s heart. They are so acutely aware of what is at stake that they will stay before God as long as necessary in order to obtain God’s answer. That is why you do not volunteer to be an intercessor; God enlists you.”

— From Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby

Have you ever wondered what heaven might be like?

Curious about what the Bible says about it? Join Snacks with Susan and Daryl this week. We have started a new series, “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn, that looks at what Christians may see in the future.

We meet in the annex room 4, Sundays at 9 a.m. Join us.

Topics:

      What Is Heaven?
      New Heaven and New Earth
      Living with God
      Living in Heaven
      Peace for Today
      Hope for the Future

►Adult Bible study class, led by Bill and Catherine

Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 2

Join us as we study the book of Hebrews.

This masterful document was written to the Jews who were struggling with accepting Jesus as the Messiah. The message of Hebrews is that Christianity surpasses Judaism because it has a better covenant and a more sufficient sacrifice for sins. We are taking the book verse by verse, discovering how the Old Testament writings pointed toward the New Covenant.

Today we will begin studying chapter 7. If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself.

Visitors and new class members are always welcome! We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries. We look forward to seeing you.
