John Leland Hollis

ELBERTA — John Leland “Johnny” Hollis of Elberta passed away in his sleep Dec 8, 2025, after battling Parkinson’s disease.
He was born and raised in Birmingham, where he owned and operated Triangle Texaco service station and package store for 53 years.
He retired to Elberta in 2008. He was a member of Swift Presbyterian Church in Foley, where he volunteered in the food pantry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard, and watching sports, especially Professional Bull Riders rodeos.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mimi Hollis; three children, Leland Hollis (Sonia), Doxie Fitts (Michael), and Parrie Ritter (Alan); and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
